I took this recipe from the website but changed it a bit from the original because I don't like parmesan. Really good recipe, but I prefer it with ground beef rather than the Italian sausage the recipe calls for.

Ingredients and spices needed to make baked ziti:

  1. 1 package 8 ounce oily noodles
  2. 1 cup sauce
  3. 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella or parmesan cheese
  4. 1 package of Italian cheese or ground beef
  5. 1 garlic clove or 1/2 tbsp
  6. 1 Italian baguette or your favorite bread to make garlic bread
  7. 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
  8. 1 olive oil
  9. 1 salt and pepper to taste
  10. 3/4 cup water
  11. 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions for preparing baked ziti

  1. Cook pasta as directed and prepare sausage or minced meat
  2. Add the sauce, chopped sausage, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper, and mix in a greased 9" x 13" skillet.
  3. Spread garlic bread over the mixture and sprinkle mozzarella cheese
  4. In a small bowl, add olive oil and sauté the tomatoes, then put them on the bread and bake for 25 minutes or until heated to 400 degrees. Let it rest for five minutes before serving
